blood

If your piercing is bleeding, it means the site has been disturbed.

Old blood is brown and new blood is red (unless you’re the Queen, obvs)

Clean it off with cold water and relax. Everything is fine.

IF IT WOn’T STOP BLEEDING

You can stop the blood flow by using something to help it clot - even some vaseline can do it. You should contact your piercer or call 111 for medical advice if it still won’t stop.

If it seems to stop and start, you can use an ice-pack to contract the blood vessels, this can help stop the bleeding.

Do not drink alcohol or take aspirin - pressure, cold and advice is what you need!
