keloid scarring

Keloid scarring is not as common as people think.

Some people are prone to keloid formation, it can also be caused by prolonged over-cleaning of your piercing.

Keloids cannot be treated at home - they are permanent and if you want them removed you need to find a private doctor or aesthetics clinic with the medical qualification to remove your keloid.

If your keloid was caused by over-cleaning or using harsh products like hydrogen peroxide (which is what caused the scarring in the picture above) then learn a valuable lesson for next time you have a piercing!

If you just grew a keloid with no reason, avoid cartilage piercings from now on. Let’s not go through this again eh? Sorry :(
