We all moved on, Elanor finished college and got a proper job and I updated and improved and generally all round had an ace time.
Then in July 2025 an appointment came through for a piercing - who could it be?
It turns out that even after we changed out the stud, the hole from the gun piercing never settled and healed. Sad face. But we started over in the same spot with a nice needle piercing and properly sized titanium jewellery and it was an absolute joy to be able to give Elanor a better experience after all she went through in the name of science!
Tiny Scar
Just a little dot of a memory.
Repierce!
Needle piercing through scar tissue (painful but not dangerous)
From the side
Not willing to take any risks, we used a 10mm labret this time.
We left plenty of length for swelling because there is likely to be long term skin damage that stops it from ever going back to its original size and shape. More than we needed to really but that’s often the best thing to do for people who have had earrings embed in the past. It’s the added layer of security that we can give that it DEFINITELY won’t happen again.
Of course if it turns out to be annoyingly long you can come back and change down for a shorter bar whenever you’re ready at no extra charge. You don’t get that service at Claire’s. Well you don’t get any service at Claire’s now do you?
Plenty more gun piercers waiting in the wings looking to take the crown though.
Be Alert.
Lerts are cool.
